People had to keep their doors locked because there were so many crimes. When kids went to school the doors were locked and the kids had to go home because the roofs were leaking and it was unsafe.
Some school's failed fire inspection's in 1880. One-third of Washington's money came from the federal Government. In 1975 the congress let Washington elect a mayor and a city council. Hundreds of tourist lined up to the printing building were they print money.

There is a national air craft museum in Washington. 4 thousand painting's were donated and more than 2 thousand sculpture's were donated. Wow that's a lot! Every year everyone go to Washington to see the hope diamond. The Korean war is sometimes called the forgotten war.There is a veterans memorial.

So today I read 2 chapters of this book to my Nana. The reason why I didn't read the last chapter to my Nana was cause she had work to do. So I am not going to tell you about the first chapter I read today because I didn't fill conferable telling about it because it was violent. Here's the second chapter. There was a man who was born in Hope, Arkansas and he was elected president. He grew up in a very poor country. He had dreamed of being president ever sense he was a boy and now he is! He has a wife and a daughter. His name is Bill Clinton and he love's music especially jazz. Hey I like jazz to! He was the first young president in 12 years. He went to China with his wife and his daughter. My Nana told me that his daughter just had a baby aw!aw! Clinton is still alive and he is about the age of my Nana. What I thought was very interesting was people made clones, you know were people make a copy of a body? Well any ways there was a sheep named Dolly and people cloned it. It took years to get that sheep cloned. They also cloned a cow. When you clone a body the baby will ether be twins with the mom or the dad. Now their cloning people! Well cloning is interesting to me!
Yesterday I just finished reading a history book, the book is called A History of Us 1945-1999 book 10. That is the longest title I have ever had to write! The author is Joy Hakim. Not as long as the title!
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated, everyone thought that he was a special person. He was killed by the government, because he disagreed with William F. Pepper's claims the government killed Dr. King. 2 months after King was killed Robert Kennedy was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan.
All blacks and some whites were tired of segregation. The blacks were tired of being tortured. They were tired of being mistreated. Then segregation was finally over! NO MORE SEGREGATION!
That's what I learned from history! what about you?

It served a good home for settlers and pioneers. When Boone escaped from the Indians, he was working in a shed making tobacco powder. The Indians had found him and they had guns. He said that he was bringing some tobacco to them but, then he through tobacco dust in their eyes and their mouth they were so angry but could not stop laughing and Boone got away. He wanted more elbow room and a chance to hunt buffalo.

Did Columbus land on any part of the united states?- No, because if only half of the world was known which was South Asia, Asia and a little bit of Africa how would he be able to Find the United states when it probably wasn't on the maps.
What happened to Columbus in his old age?- He died with the bad case of sadness.

ReplyDeleteIt was important cause it helped a lot of settlers settle in Kentucky, without that path no one could have a good chance of having Kentucky as a state.
It served a good home for settlers and pioneers.
When Boone escaped from the Indians, he was working in a shed making tobacco powder. The Indians had found him and they had guns. He said that he was bringing some tobacco to them but, then he through tobacco dust in their eyes and their mouth they were so angry but could not stop laughing and Boone got away.
